Electronic visitor book gets Fareham MP's seal of approval

MediaBase Direct runs an e-reception book to cut down on the use of paper products.

It has also been integrated with the NHS Covid-19 contact tracing app for use in England and Wales.

The firm in Lancaster Court in Barnes Wallis Road, Segensworth, was visited by Fareham MP and attorney general Suella Braverman.

She met with director Anil Jain, who showed her the product at the database and digital solutions firm, which has been operating for more than 25 years.

It comes as two apprentices were recently hired to help on the e-reception book.

Mr Jain said: ‘It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the attorney general Mrs Braverman and we are very grateful that she was able to find the time in her very busy schedule to visit.

‘Robust digital safety is now critically important, not only because of GDPR but also for building risk assessment compliance and to complement physical measures in place to combat Covid-19.

‘It was clear from her visit that Mrs Braverman recognises the role that dynamic tech companies play in digital transformation and the benefits this can bring to society and the economy.

‘We would be very pleased to assist in any initiatives she may have in the future.’

Mrs Braverman said: ‘MediaBase Direct is a very much a success story which epitomises the innovation, creativity and dynamism of the tech sector in my constituency.’

She added: ‘The company is to be congratulated for its excellence and contribution to digital safeguarding to help us face the challenging times ahead.’
