Enterprise academy gets £4,000 grant from fund

A COMMUNITY programme that teaches students about the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation has received £4,000 of matched funding from Santander's new Changemaker Fund.

Unloc Enterprise Academy, based at Portsmouth College, applied for cash to launch its enterprise roadshow that will deliver bespoke enterprise days across 10 schools in deprived communities across the south west.

The Changemaker Fund, which was launched at the end of last year as part of an innovative collaboration between Santander and a rewards-based crowdfunding platform, is designed to help social enterprises, charities and community groups deliver projects that improve communities.
