Error at Morrisons petrol,l station in Waterlooville causes fuel price to display incorrectly

The error at Morrisons in Horndean, Waterlooville, meant the cost of fuel at one pump was not consistent with the rest of the pumps on site.

It is understood the error '“ which led to an inaccuracy of about a penny in cost '“ occurred sometime between Friday and Saturday. 

However, a spokesperson for the garage on Lakesmere Road said it was resolved swiftly and did not affect more than one pump.

'˜I believe the pump had become stuck, but it was rectified on the same day,' they said. 

On further precautions taken, they added: '˜The station had a price change the day after the fault occurred and two staff members went round and checked all the pumps were correct.
