Lennon Beech, four, from Southsea, was diagnosed with severe global development delay after he contracted meningitis at just three weeks old. He is now registered blind, and has epilepsy, limited mobility and fluid on the brain.

His family launched a campaign two years ago in order to send him to the USA for stem cell treatment.

Sallyann said: ‘I chose to support Lennon because his treatment isn’t government funded. He’s local and his parents work really hard. He needs to raise £25,000.’

So far, £19,000 has been raised. For more on the fete email [email protected]
