Fareham home care service rated Good by CQC

A HEALTH watchdog has rated a service offering care to people in their homes as good.

Kanyuchi Healthcare, in Fareham, was praised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for its staff and the procedures in place to keep its patients safe from risk.

The inspector visited the service, on Red Barn Lane, in April and looked at five different criteria to see if it was safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. It was rated as good for all of them.

Within the report, published this week, it said: ‘Care workers had developed caring relationships with people they supported. People were encouraged to take part in decisions about their care and support and their views were listened to.

‘Care and support were based on assessments and plans which took into account people’s abilities, needs and preferences. Care plans were reviewed and updated regularly.’

Kanyuchi Healthcare provides personal care services to people in their own homes in southern Hampshire.
