The Innovation Awards, to be staged at the Village Hotel's business hub at Lakeside on Wednesday June 17, will give guests and those shortlisted a great opportunity to network, listen to some keynote speakers, see some tech demonstrations and then enjoy an awards ceremony, with winners in 10 categories honoured.

The Innovation Awards will be fun and informal and already on board are joint headline sponsors BAE Systems and Portsmouth Water, plus category sponsors Solent LEP and the University of Portsmouth.

The editor of The News, Mark Waldron, said: ‘The News is delighted to be running this event because it is good for the city and also positions our company — JPIMedia — in the centre of this creative and digital space as we continue our own digital acceleration from a traditional print business.
