Firework storage concerns prompt safety plea by tranding standardsÂ

TRADERS looking to sell fireworks ahead of Bonfire night are being urged to make sure they know how to store them correctly.

Although the celebration is still weeks away, trading standards officials are issuing a reminder on policies to traders looking to sell the colourful explosives.

Two courses are being run by West Sussex Trading Standards to provide key advice to businesses.

Peter Aston, trading standards team manager, said firework storage had become more of an issue, adding: '˜Poor storage creates a safety as well as a financial risk to the business, the staff, customers and neighbours.'
