Portchester East ward councillor Shaun Cunningham said: ‘It went extremely well.

‘The weather was disappointing but it was really good throughout.

‘A lot of people turned and enjoyed themselves.

‘They were actually asking for more to be organised up there.

‘It made the precinct quite vibrant.’

Firefighters and police also attended the day.

Funfair rides, face painting and games kept youngsters busy throughout.
