Blue Reef Aquarium has advised people who come across the creatures near South Parade Pier to put them back in the sea and to wash their hands afterwards.

Cllr Donna Jones, leader of Portsmouth City Council, has tweeted out a picture of the starfish today, which have washed up after Storm Angus swept the region.

It comes after The Pyramids was forced to close yesterday due to flooding, though the gym can now be accessed via the pool reception.
