Largest office deal secured in WhiteleyÂ

TWO blue chip companies have taken subleases of two floors of office space in Whiteley, totalling 35,000 sq ft.

This is the largest office letting that has taken place across the M27 in one building.

According to Estates Gazette, total space disposed last year along the M27, covering Southampton and Portsmouth, was 376,629 sq ft and the average deal size was 3,393 sq ft.

The deal was completed by joint agents Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and Lambert Smith Hampton on behalf of owners Zurich, for building 3000C on Solent Business Park. 

Nella Pang, director at JLL, said: '˜The reason this building was selected was due to its plug and play capabilities. This allows them to reduce their capex, contribution towards their fit out but provides an office they can control, as oppose to serviced offices. This also allows them to quickly move in, rather than a drawn out process.

Emma Lockey, who acted for NATS, said: '˜3000c was selected by NATS due to its proximity to their existing building and the fact that the space was plug and play.'
