M27 traffic chaos after vehicle drives wrong way up motorwayÂ

Drivers are being warned they face delays on the M27 this afternoon after a motorist drove the wrong way up the motorway.Â

Motorists are facing long delays

All traffic was held following the incident and delays still remain on the motorway this afternoon. 

The incident happened on the westbound carriageway at J7 for A334 Hedge End. 

Romanse tweeted: '˜#M27 Westbound - All lanes were briefly HELD westbound at J7/A334 #HedgeEnd due to a vehicle driving in the wrong direction (no joke), all traffic has now been RELEASED but delays remain on approach.'
