Onecom in fun run for MIND

STAFF at telecommunications provider Onecom have raised more than £2,000 for mental health charity, MIND.

A fun run was held on June 29 and was one of several fundraisers completed by employees to celebrate the company’s 15th birthday and its newly launched Onecom Foundation.

The offices held a business-wide poll to determine their chosen charity to support in 2017 and staff members picked the mental health organisation as their winner.

Over 114 members of staff from across 12 regional bases each ran a mile-long route around their respective offices in a sponsored run. The event raised £1,281 which was topped up with £1,000 donated by management.

Chief operating officer at Onecom Aaron Brown said: ‘This was a great way to celebrate our birthday and have some fun while bringing people across the business together for a common cause.’
