Hampshire Meet The Buyer is holding a VIP launch event for businesses this month.

More than 50 companies will attend the free event at Richmond Building, Portsmouth Business School, on February 21.

The event will give more details on the second annual Hampshire Meet The Buyer exhibition, which takes place at the Portsmouth Marriott on May 22.

Last year, HMTB drew high profile sponsors and speakers and featured 30 exhibitor stands.

The event is organised by Becky Lodge of Little Kanga, Portsmouth City Council, the University of Portsmouth Business School and the Marriott Hotel.

Guests at the VIP launch will hear success stories from the previous event, including that of Fareham-based TJ Waste Recycling, which won a contract from Mountjoy worth £300,000.

Becky said: ‘Big corporates have contracts to award, start-ups need contracts from SMEs, and SMEs need contracts from those big corporates.

‘When you put them together, you see the true value of partnerships and collaborations.’
