Placement opportunities for engineering students
MECHANICAL engineering businesses can benefit from a University of Portsmouth student placement programme.
The university has been awarded funding from the Institution for Mechanical Engineers for small and medium-size enterprises who have not taken previous students.
Qualifying SMEs will receive £2,000 for each student placement they create.
Professor Asa Barber said: ‘Placements not only enable undergraduates to gain experience of engineering employment, they also allow organisations to develop or expand their business.’
