Score goals in a cement mixer for good cause at Portsmouth builders' merchant

VISITORS at a builders' merchant have the chance to win a football shirt of their choice by scoring a goal into a cement mixer '“ all for a good cause.

Elliott’s Tool Centre, in Dickinson Road, Fratton, is holding the event tomorrow to support Jo’s Cervical Trust.

The competition is part of the Scruffs ‘Masters at Work. Masters of Workwear’ UK tour. Visitors will be invited to try their hand at the ‘Top of Your Game’ football challenge, where they will be trying to score a goal into a cement mixer. For each ball booted into the mixer, Scruffs will make a donation to the Jo’s Cervical Trust.

People can also win a pair of Scruffs boots, and they will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Scruffs voucher.

The person who scores the most goals on the day will be up for the title of ultimate tour champion, who will receive £1,000, with the runners up receiving a 50-inch TV and £250 vouchers.
