Sky dining returns to the Spinnaker Tower

DINERS will be able to take in breathtaking views of the Solent as a pop-up restaurant is set to return to the Spinnaker Tower for a second year.

The pop-up will be on the viewing platform of 170-metre tower and will see celebrity chef Stephanie Moon deliver a seven-course tasting menu showcasing the best of Hampshire and Isle of Wight produce.

The event was first held at the tower last year and places were quickly snapped up.

This year the Sky Dining with Stephanie Moon events will be hosted on Thursday, July 27, Friday, July 28, Thursday, August 10 and Friday, August 11.

Guests will enjoy a fine-dining experience, surrounded by the tower’s incredible night-time views.

Multi-award winning Stephanie has been a chef for over 20 years.

She started her training at the Michelin-starred Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair, London under acclaimed chef Anton Mosimann before working in some of the finest hotels and restaurants across the world, including the five-star Park Hyatt in Sydney and Charlie Trotter’s Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant before she became executive head chef at luxury hotel Rudding Park in Harrogate.

Stephanie cemented her celebrity chef status on BBC2’s Great British Menu, representing the north east for three consecutive years on the culinary competition.

Stephanie said she is excited about her second season of Sky Dining events.

‘It was an honour to be asked to return to Emirates Spinnaker Tower for another set of Sky Dining evenings,’ she said.

‘The response from last year’s events was so positive that I can’t wait to do it all over again, with a brand new menu and even more incredible local produce from talented Hampshire and Isle of Wight suppliers.’
