Snookies name lives on through menu

But the name Snookies will now live on through a special lunchtime menu, being devised by new owner Kaz Miah.

The Red Lounge Group, run by Kaz, has taken over the former Snookies cafe in Osborne Road, Southsea, and is in the process of renovating it to open it as an Indian restaurant next month.

Mr Miah said that he was so moved by the messages from the community about the cafe, he has decided to carry on with a lunch menu, in honour of Snookies.

He said: ‘Everybody was talking about it, it obviously meant a lot to a lot of people. That’s why we have decided to keep a lunch menu.’
