Support for charities

THOUSANDS of pounds have been donated to three charities.

A total of £4,615 was given to Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association, Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK, with the charities each receiving £1,538 as part of an initiative by housing and care provider Radian.

Isabelle Simon-Evans, director of corporate services at Radian, said: ‘Every year we give our staff an incentive to get the surveys done by raising money for a charity close to their hearts.

‘They really stepped up the mark and voted to support equally Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK and Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association.

‘It was an excellent result to support three worthy charities from which our residents can benefit.’
