A GROUP behind plans for a plastic-free shop has made the 'hard decision' to temporarily stop work on its premises.
The Package Free Larder team, which earlier this month announced its new home at the former Green Machine shop in Elm Grove, Southsea, said the postponement of works was due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
The building was still being refurbished and was not yet able to 'provide the essentials to the community,' an e-mail statement said.
‘If there is anything specific you would like to hear from us that would help you, that you would enjoy or if you would like to share something with us, please do let us know.'
More than 900 people donated £43,765 to the project in 56 days last summer.
