FliteTrak, which has an innovations hub at Solent Business Park in Whiteley, unveiled its innovative ViatorAero system in front of industry executives at the Hamburg Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2017 on April 4.

ViatorAero can monitor individual seats for temperature, movement and seatbelt closure. It also has the capacity for locking overhead bins – during take-off, landing and turbulence – for safety, as well as cabin environment monitoring.

The cutting-edge technology – using wireless sensors below rows of seats – can be monitored directly by cabin attendants live on a tablet computer or mobile device in real time during flight.
