Telecoms staff step out in Whiteley for mental health charity

TELECOMMUNICATIONS firm Onecom has show its commitment to staff wellness and helped raise money for charity in the process.

Staff at Onecom’s Whiteley headquarters took part in a one-mile walking race in aid of YoungMinds. 

The event was aimed at getting staff moving while raising money for the charity, which helps children and young people in need of mental health support.

The event, which also took place at Onecom’s offices around the UK, raised £718.50. 

YoungMinds was chosen by staff as Onecom’s charity for 2019. The firm has launched an enhanced wellness programme for employees which includes mental health first aiders, training on resilience and stress management and a support phone line.
