Travel firm offers help to stranded people

FAMILY-RUN coach business Jet Connect has offered a lifeline to people affected by the closure of Victory Travel Ltd.

As reported, Victory Travel – a coach company that was based in Cosham and formerly in Emsworth – disappeared leaving its customers without travel arrangements.

Victory’s website is down, its telephone numbers are disconnected, its offices are empty – and it is unresponsive on social media.

The owners of Jet Connect, in Leigh Park, saw the story and have now offered to help anybody affected by the firm’s sudden disappearance.

Mike Ashford, Jet Connect’s marketing manager and driver, said: ‘When we saw the news on Facebook, we knew straight away that we could help these people.

‘There must be people out there stressing about trips they have booked and paid for.

‘As long as they can show us an invoice, then we will give them travel at a reduced rate.’
