Trouble at budget chain

A BUDGET fashion chain has proposed a radical restructuring programme as it tries to avoid administration.

Store Twenty One, which has 202 stores including ones in North End, Gosport, Waterlooville, Havant and Fareham, has tabled a company voluntary agreement.

Restructuring experts AlixPartners have been appointed by owners Alok Group to try and stop the chain, which employs more than 1,000 people, going bust by slashing rent and closing stores.
