Pupils earn their stripes on navy course

YEAR 6 pupils from Elson Junior School have graduated from their 5-week course working with naval personnel from HMS Collingwood.

The course focused on developing skills around the navy’s core values of courage, commitment, discipline, respect, integrity and leadership

Pupil Mia, 11, said: ‘I’ve really enjoyed it, the best bit was working with Brad on the teamwork activities.’

Lieutenant Peter Taylor added: ‘It has been a rewarding experience watching the development of these pupils over the 5 weeks.’
