Students with sharp eye for business get rewarded

TWO University of Portsmouth students with a sharp eye for business beat 650 others around the UK to win Student Employees of the Year 2016.

Jo Miguens, a third-year business and management student, and Shaquille Trotman, a third-year geography student, worked to find new ways for local and national businesses to market goods to students.

Their efforts earned £50,000 profit for their Students’ Union. Miss Miguens said at the awards ceremony: ‘For once I’m lost for words.’
