Bake sweet treats and support dementia charity
A CHARITY has this week launched one of its biggest fundraising events of the year.
Alzheimer’s Society is calling on experienced bakers, novice cake-makers and people who love a sweet treat in Portsmouth and surrounding areas to support its Cupcake Day.
Run for the past three years, the event gets people making cakes for the charity which supports people with dementia and researches the condition.
Last year’s day raised £1m and Alzheimer’s Society is hoping to raise £1.6m this year.
Cupcake Day is on June 14, although it can be held at any time. Visit cupcakeday.org.uk.
