The Hoosiers, known for UK top 40 hits Goodbye Mr A and Worried About Ray, were due to be the headline act for the Sunday.

Gosport Borough Council's projects officer, Christine Threlfall, said: ‘We do appreciate how much work goes in to organising events and what a dreadful blow this is to everyone – organisers and attendees alike.

‘We are sure you will understand this decision and the need to protect public safety and the NHS.’
