Entries now closed for our Best of Health Awards

Hundreds of people from across the Portsmouth area nominated their unsung health heroes.

From GP practices that are always welcoming, to hospital teams which remain dedicated, the nominations highlight just how many devoted health professionals work in our community.

Tickets are now available for the awards night on Friday, October 14 at Portsmouth Guildhall.

Between now and the ceremony, our panel of judges will look through each entry and pick a short list for the 12 categories.

They are Hospital Doctor of the Year, Hospital Nurse of the Year, Hospital Team of the Year, Allied Health Professional/Team of the Year, Community Nurse/Team of the Year, Unsung Hero, Pharmacy of the Year, GP Practice of the Year, Care/Nursing Home of the Year, Mental Health Worker/Team of the Year and Dental Practice of the Year.

The last award will be the Care and Compassion award which is chosen out of winners from the night.

Tickets for the awards are £40 which includes a reception drink and two-course meal. Following the ceremony, there will be music and dancing.

The evening will be hosted by Mark Collins from Wave 105 and the dress code is black tie.
