Fundraisers for Havant woman who's condition means she cannot eat

A NUMBER of fundraisers are being held to help raise money for a woman who has not eaten food for years.

Friends and family of Natalie Wallis have organised coffee mornings, sponsored walks, a Champagne afternoon and an evening event for the former fitness instructor.

As previously reported in The News Natalie, from Havant, has a condition which means her stomach muscles do not work. She has spent the past eight years in and out of hospital, losing lots of weight from only being able to feed through tubes.

Natalie is hoping to be fitted with a stomach pacemaker, but needs to raise £20,000 to pay for it privately.

Her sister Gemma Armitage said: ‘We have organised the evening event for Natalie and worked hard to put this together. We would love it to be successful and help us raise the money needed.’

The event is on April 7 from 7pm at the Empire Hall, in Totton Conservative Club. There will be music, food and a raffle. Tickets are £7. To buy, email [email protected]
