Phoenix Rehoming is on a mission to make sure that every dog who needs a new home finds their perfect owner.
The Hampshire charity was established in 2016 and the team of volunteers has been working hard ever since to ensure that every dog and cat in need can get the best care possible.
There are a number of dogs across the country that the charity deals with and here are six dogs that are currently looking for their perfect forever home:
Five-year- old Flower had the very worst start to her life. She was a stray, unwanted and unloved. Flower was struck by a car and as a result sustained a nasty open break to her back leg which needed to be amputated. She is the sweetest girl with people but not a fan of other dogs. It’s not surprising considering all she has been through. For this reason Flower needs to be the only pet in the home. Flower is looking for a quiet and understanding home. She loves sunbathing in the garden, lazing on her bed and being brushed. She greets her foster family with the wiggliest bottom and tail. She’s a quiet and unassuming girl who is house trained, polite indoors and can be left. She is appropriately 17kg. Adoption fee is £225 and to see what this includes, visit the charity's website. She is a gentle, affectionate dog who is so, so happy to be in a family home. Violet has had a heartbreaking life, having been in a shelter for years and years following a hard life on the streets. This hasn't affected her wonderful nature one little bit!
Violet is a calm, easy going character who, at 10 years of age, enjoys the quieter things in life, like sunbathing in the garden, watching the world go by. Violet loves going on walks and is a dream on the lead. She much prefers a sniff and an amble, rather than mad run about, and is still building up her stamina when it comes to how far she can go. Violet has an old injury to one of her legs, probably from being hit by a car when she was on the street, so gentle exercise is good for her to build up muscles to support her. Violet is impeccably clean in the house and is not a barker, she just wants to snuggle. Violet will make an amazing companion who just loves to be in the company of people. She currently lives with other dogs as well as cats and older children with no issues, other than needing to be fed separately as she gets worried other animals may take her food. Don't be put off by her age, Violet has so much to give and you won't find a more loving dog anywhere. Adoption fee is £225 and to see what this includes, visit the charity's website. Maggie is a beautiful 6 month old, medium sized crossbreed girl. Shes around 15kg and she is still a puppy so she loves playing, sniffing and napping. She’s a smart girl and loves learning new things, touch, watch me, mat training, middle and recall. She will sit and down for food and is learning to sit nicely to have her harness and lead put on and off. She’s settled well into home life, is house trained and loves napping on the sofa with the humans. She sleeps in the crate overnight in the same room as her foster carers. She can be left for around 1.5 hours during the day in her crate but this will need further work to increase the amount of time. Adoption fee is £425 and to see what this includes, visit the charity's website. Photo: Phoenix Rehoming
