Portsmouth GP practice rated good by CQC

A GP practice has been rated as '˜good' following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission.

John Pounds Surgery, on Aylward Street in Portsmouth, was commended for being able to offer urgent appointments the same day, having a transparent approach to safety and treating patients with compassion.

Of the five criteria looked at, it was given ‘good’ for all of them.

The report said: ‘The practice had good facilities and was well-equipped to treat patients and meet their needs. The practice proactively sought feedback from staff and patients, which it acted on.’
