NHS Fab Change Day, which takes place on October 19, aims to inspire staff, patients and the public to do something better to improve care.

Tim Powell, chief executive of the hospital, said: ‘NHS Fab Change Day, and indeed this campaign, is about breaking down traditional barriers and recognising that everyone who works in, uses or cares about the NHS has the power to make a difference.

‘This is our opportunity to come together and harness our ideas to make a change.’
