Segensworth lens firm makes a generous donation

A SEGENSWORTH company has made a donation to a hospital.

CooperVision, one of the world’s leading lens manufacturers, has been raising funds for Southampton General Hospital, to help fund better care for child cancer patients.

The money they have raised will all go to the Piam Brown Ward, which looks after children with cancer up to the age of 16.

Speaking on behalf of Piam Brown, Rachel Funnell, charity fund and events co-ordinator said: ‘We’re grateful to CooperVison for the efforts it has gone to over recent years to raise funds for the ward.

‘The money raised will support the resourcing of specialist equipment and staff such as our paediatric oncology outreach nurse specialists who are completely funded by the charity.

‘Without the help of companies like CooperVision we would be unable to provide the level of care the children need, and for that we cannot thank them enough.’
