Ricki told me: ‘My grandad, Stan Hore aged 85, is a huge fan of your articles and has asked me to get in touch in the hope that some photos that he has may be of use to you.

‘He seems to think that you may have appealed for photos such as this. He had misplaced them and had been going out of his mind trying to find them for you.

Ricki adds: ‘My grandad has lived in Keswick Avenue since the Second World War after being bombed out of the house he lived in down at Wingfield Street in Portsmouth.

‘He’s been here in Keswick Avenue for 79 years and is the oldest resident down the avenue.

‘He is also the only remaining resident who has been here since the Second World War,’ says Ricki.
