THIS WEEK IN 1975: Purbrook Park is a talking success
With humour and eloquence, a team from Purbrook Park School achieved their second triumph in the Rotary International Youth Speaks competition when they won the group round at Oaklands School, Waterlooville.
Eight teams took part in the competition.
Prizes of book tokens were presented to the three winning teams by the mayor of Havant JV Derben.
The Purbrook team, who were sponsored by Cosham Rotary Club, were commended for their excellent grasp of their subject, and the humorous way it was presented.
