Classic vehicle run in Havant a must for motoring enthusiasts

MORE than 100 classic cars, motorcycles and vans are expected to take part in a classic vehicle run.

It is the 12th Mayor of Havant’s run, and will raise money for Councillor Leah Turner’s chosen charities.

It begins at 8.30am on Sunday at the Public Service Plaza car park. Cllr Turner will wave them off on their journey through the Hampshire countryside.

They will arrive at Fort Purbrook around midday where there will be live music.

Cllr Turner said: ‘This annual event is always extremely popular, not only with vehicle owners but also enthusiasts who enjoy looking at the classic vehicles once they have completed the run out.

‘Last year more than 160 vehicles participated and we look forward to viewing this year’s entries as some vehicles are rare and unique.

The event is free, however a donation to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal is very much appreciated.’
