9. Theobroma Cacao Chocolate Limited, Cosham
Theobroma Cacao Chocolate Limited is located at Cosham and owned by master chocolatier Mick Collins.
Mick’s business is the only remaining hand-made chocolatier in Portsmouth. His chocolates have even been served to Prince Charles and his friends at Sandringham. Supplying Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall came about when one of their staff came in to buy their world famous Pusser's Rum Navy Truffles and saw the personalised chocolates. Prince Charles had asked him to find something unique for her 70th birthday and put her cypher on top. Go to theobromacacao.co.uk/ Photo: Contributed
10. Anti-Valentine's Quiz, Groundlings Theatre
Why not support a local arts venue and give an anti-Valentine’s quiz a try?
If the traditional celebration irritates you, then The Groundlings Theatre at Portsea has something for you on February 12. Ditching all the things typically associated with a day of showing love to others, this reverses the concept as it’s all about flaunting yourself.
It’s an opportunity to dodge the roses and ‘unhygienic affection’. Entry is £2 and proceeds go to the building’s restoration. Picture: Chris Moorhouse (jpns 191021-14) Photo: Chris Moorhouse
