Portsmouth children's entertainer is making birthdays magical for kids around the globe
Silly Scott, renowned for his interactive kid’s parties, has taken his business online so children can still celebrate their birthday with their friends and family virtually.

He says: ‘I have adapted my performance and tricks to work virtually and make the show completely interactive for all the children and parents during the online parties.
‘This has already proven very popular. My Facebook video post is reaching more than 20,000 views and rising every day which has amazingly led to performing online shows for birthday parties.

Hide Ad‘I have put together some new stuff and customised it for my online shows. I wanted to do something a bit different to keep the kids entertained and give them a bit more.
‘I also get out my live bunny, Sparkle, like I normally would in shows.’
Using Zoom, he normally holds parties for up to nine children which last half an hour and family can get involved too.

Hide Ad‘I’ve done 15 birthday parties in the past couple of weeks,’ says Silly Scott.
‘The kids absolutely love it.
‘The show ends with everyone singing happy birthday to the birthday child which is the perfect mix and really makes their day extra special during this lockdown period.’
The birthday girl or boy also magics up their own personalised birthday card and banner, which is sent to them after the show. They also receive a personalised magic certificate, Silly Scott You Can Do Magic Too DVD and a special magic wand pack.

Hide AdHe explains: ‘I’ve also had children joining it from all around the country and a lot of international entertainers have shared my work.
‘I’m hosting a birthday party in Belgium and California this week. It’s so crazy.’
Silly Scott is proud he can still make people laugh during this tough time.

Hide AdHe smiles and says: ‘Making people smile and laugh is the reason why I do my job. I absolutely love it.
‘I have been in this industry for 26 years and being an entertainer is something I love to do.’

Fareham birthday girl Holly Pike was full of smiles on her seventh birthday.

Hide AdAlthough her original birthday party planned at a beauty salon had to be cancelled, she still partied the day away with her friends during a virtual party held by Silly Scott.
Mum Rebecca says: ‘We thought a virtual party would still be nice for her and her friends. It was a complete surprise for Holly.
‘We thought it was brilliant. He was very interactive with all the children and would call out their names.’
After her special birthday party in the afternoon, Holly and her family ate smores and watched her favourite film, Frozen 2.
‘It was a lovely day,’ adds mum Rebecca.
