Here are a handful of the top events taking place across the region tomorrow and Tuesday. 

STAGE: This play highlights the impact and struggles of dementia at a young age. Free but must be booked in advance so call (023) 9247 2700. The Spring Arts Centre, Havant, tomorrow, 2.30pm. 

EVENT: Join this friendly knitting group for an evening with Wendy Dolan for a talk called Layer, Paint and Stitch. Brodrick Hall, Alverstoke, tomorrow, 7.30pm. 

NIGHT OUT: This transgender-friendly 1940's themed cocktail evening will include a live performance from singer Becky Short. Optional 1940’s dress code. £3. Groundlings Theatre, Portsmouth, tomorrow, 7pm. 

SING: To welcome their new conductor, go along to this open evening for a glass of wine followed by rehearsals of popular choral music such as Zadok the Priest. Portsmouth Academy, Fratton, tonight, 7.30pm. 

EXHIBITION: This exhibition of 10 cartoons is based on a number of Greek myths, created for a series of large oil paintings commissioned for British statesman, Sir Burne-Jones. Southampton City Art Gallery, today, 10am-5pm. 

COMEDY: Based on Aristophanes's Assembly Women, this is about a country who took extreme action –a government of women in Ancient Greece! Nuffield Theatre Southampton, tonight, 7.30pm
