Anything for the scarecrow?

May did that thing it does, came in like a lamb and went out like a lion.

Last week we met the people who will come and water during summer. So Wednesday evening watering will begin from next week.

Two new water butts, sponsored by Portsmouth Water, have been delivered for the community orchard. Collecting water in a butt or in upturned pots is a great way to share resources and should help Portsmouth bloom a little.

Throughout June we are collecting hats, boots and gloves to make scarecrows through July. Then we will magic them alive to keep an eye on our crops and stop those cunning snails from eating our runner beans.

Our Skillshops are running until July too, and if you’ve not been yet, take a look at the website and see what you fancy learning: southseagreenhouse.co.uk/skillshops.

Need workspace? We are making over our portable building which has solar power and hope to share it with a not-for-profit organisation or small ethical business. Call 07783 031 663.
