out of the ground, all earthy and sweet. Looking for worms – that was great fun – although I denied ever finding any...I did not like the thought of them being put on hooks for fishing.

Looking for the ever-elusive green beans and finding bright red tomatoes. Finding all the bugs that help in the garden.

I have a little plot of my own now and I hope to grow some of the vegetables and fruit that I grew up with. I’m also hoping my grandchildren will experience the first taste of freshness that I did and have.
