Vue Portsmouth have revealed that 1 in 4 women in the South East consider their mum to be the person they have the closest relationship with.

According to the study, 40 per cent of women say they have either an honorary mum or daughter in their life.

Not only that, but enjoying a movie on the big screen has been found to be one of the most popular mother/daughter activities, with more than a quarter (26 per cent going there together).
