Paddle Steamer Waverley sets course for South Coast and Isle of Wight this September
To mark Waverley’s return, on Fridays September 1st, 8th, and 15th, seniors can bring a friend along for half fare. Sail from Southampton or Portsmouth for a delightful cruise to the charming Isle of Wight town of Yarmouth to spend time ashore. Passengers can alternatively stay aboard to experience the sheer magnificence of the Needles and Freshwater Bay on a cruise that promises to leave a lasting impression.
For those craving a great day out, the "Steam Round the Isle of Wight" experience awaits on Saturdays September 2nd, 9th, 16th, and Tuesday September 19th. Departing from Southampton and Portsmouth, revel at the awe-inspiring coastline as Waverley circumnavigates the spectacular Isle of Wight.
Sunday September 3rd brings a special highlight as Waverley takes to the waters on a cruise to view Bournemouth Air Festival. Departing from Southampton, Yarmouth or Swanage, passengers will enjoy an unparalleled vantage point to witness the spectacular aerial displays, including the Red Arrows, which have made the festival a renowned event.

Waverley will join Steamship Shieldhall for a special “Steam Together” cruise off the Needles Rocks. Returning to Ryde on Saturday September 16th for the first time since 2014, Waverley's presence will be a celebration of the ship’s enduring popularity. Sail from Southampton or Portsmouth for the ultimate steam day out, by combining a sailing onboard Waverley with a visit to the award-winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
