A special delivery of 19 lovely blankets and four jackets were handed over to the neonatal intensive care unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital thanks to the hard work of those taking part in this year’s Hayling Horticultural Society’s spring show.

One of the handicraft classes was knitting a blanket for a premature baby and the response was fantastic, with many exhibitors donating extra items.

welcome and will be used. The nurses loved all the items, especially the winning blanket made by Jan Holmes. I wasn’t allowed to see anything there because of infection control. If mothers love a blanket used, they are allowed to take it home when baby is ready to go. Thank you again to everybody who contributed.
