The burglars stole jewellery, including a fake Rolex which has a rose gold face and black rubber strap, mobile phones, a Mac book, a Sony Playstation, a set of keys and several games and DVDs.

They also stole a number of coats including a light blue Canada Goose coat. The DVDs, a quantity of jewellery and phones were found discarded close to the rear of the address.

Police believe it was an '˜isolated incident' and have appealed for information.

One person, who wished to be anonymous, said: '˜The house is on a busy road where there's a junction and there's a field round the back with a car park where there's normally a few cars. There's also CCTV.

'˜Also, this is mainly a white neighbourhood so you would have thought someone would have noticed four black men acting suspiciously before they carried out the burglary.'

Another person said: '˜Some people may as well advertise when they are away with them putting up their blinds and gates and turning off their lights.'

Members of the neighbourhood watch team added: '˜Our thoughts go out to the family. It must have been very frightening for them. We're glad they are ok.'
