EQUIPMENT hire firm Nationwide Hire has raised £10,000 for a charity helping young people with mental health issues.
A year ago, staff set a target of raising £10,000 for the Fareham-based Moving on Project which provides free, confidential counselling for 11 to 25-year-olds.
Employees donated a monthly amount between £2 and £10 through a salary sacrifice scheme, hosted themed parties, sold cakes and took part in a football tournament.
In total, Nationwide Hire on West Street, Fareham, raised £10,557.
Lee Fisher, HR and training manager, said: ‘We’re thrilled to have hit our target.
‘Many young people are suffering from anxiety, stress, depression and cyber-bullying and the funds we’ve raised this year will help the Moving On Project to support young people and make a real difference.’
