IN THE spirit of charity, our readers from across the Portsmouth area are busy raising money today for Children In Need 2018.
Jessica Venn from Petersfield donned a pair of Pudsey ears and baked treats for her school’s bake off while staff from OneStop in Gosport dressed up for the occasion and offered their customers some Pudsey cakes.
The team from Chinneck Shaw estate and lettings agency in Copnor took it in turns on a static bike to ride the 250 mile distance around all of the properties they manage in Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight and the south coast.
Director Neil Shaw said: ‘We wanted to do something different and were inspired by the One Show’s Children in Need rickshaw challenge.
‘A massive well done from all of us to everyone taking part in the challenge, it really is a great way of raising money.
‘We hope to have beaten last year’s total of £637 by the time all of the sponsorships comes in. Our thanks to everyone who has supported and sponsored us for an incredibly worthy cause.’
