Commemoration for Macmillan Cancer

A GIG commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Fareham Macmillan fundraising group will be holding the commemorative gig on Saturday, November 17 at Stubbington Community Centre in Stubbington Lane.

Ailsa Bull, chairperson for the group, said: '˜All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

'˜A local band called Nostalgia, who play solely to raise money for charity, have kindly offered to play and will be singing songs from the First World War and other conflicts.'

The event will start at 7.30pm and run until 10pm, with a raffle and First World War-themed quiz.
