Could you volunteer your time to help vital Rowans Hospice, in Purbrook?

VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help out hospice which supports thousands of people each year.

The Rowans Hospice, in Purbrook, is holding an open day to encourage people to volunteer for a range of interesting roles at the charity.

Verity James, from the charity, said: ‘Being a volunteer for The Rowans Hospice is a great way to gain skills, meet new people, take an active role in your community and could even help you develop a career in the charity sector.

‘All of our volunteers help us to deliver outstanding care to people with life-limiting conditions, regardless of the role that they take within the organisation.’

Applications are welcome from all walks of life – from young people just starting out in the world of work, to those with a lifetime’s wisdom to share.
