Mum-of-two Lindsey Gates has just months left to live after being diagnosed with four inoperable brain tumours.

She was on a holiday of a lifetime to Disney World, Florida, with her husband Jason and daughters Charley and Brooke, when she broke her leg and ended up in hospital.

She needs a special ambulance to fly her back to her Emsworth home – but the cost of that and medical bills is £87,000.

An appeal for money has been launched, but family members remain concerned.

Lindsey’s cousin Linda Smart, of Gosport, said she’s only been able to contribute £10 – and is appealing for more help.

Linda said: ‘It’s a terrible worry, it’s terrible. She is still in hospital and her husband and children are in a hotel.

‘It’s very distressing. She knew she was dying and it was on her bucket list to swim with the dolphins and go to Disneyland.’

Friends and family raised more than £12,000 to send the 40-year-old to the US.

Linda says she has written letters to US president Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump calling for changes in the country’s health system.

She wants a set financial contribution to be made from workers’ wages into the health system so people like Lindsey don’t get into difficulty.
